Maintenance Cartridge

When replacing a Maintenance Cartridge on a 8000 XL it never ask me if it was new, used, or the same one. It will just come up as 0% after about 3 min. or so. Not sure if this is a hardware issue or a software issue. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? Tried 3 different maintenance cartridges and all do the same thing. I see nothing in the service manual about this.

I have 3 8000's and this is a new one for me. HP will probably suggest reloading the firmware, you should be at FW 12.

It is on firmware 12. Took it back to 11 then took it back to 12, with trying to replace during 11. then again when I went back to 12.
