650 foot rolls

We have quite a few Pagewides installed now and three in our shop (all 8000's).
We are attempting to use the 650 foot rolls but are having issues with roll clearance in the drawer. Some drawers are fine while others seem to not allow the diameter to work very well (7 inch max). Especially on the initial feed and reverse.

The only fix so far which I don't think we should have to do is to remove the bottom plate and "reform" to provide a shallower depth. This is troublesome because in doing so you change the dimension and it does not attach in the same screw location without further modification .

Anyone else see this issue?

I have also seen slight differences in the plates themselves from one machine to another.

Thanks,
John B.

We have also had that issue and had to let our paper mill know that we can not have any overage on the rolls. Most paper mills will put a 10% overage on the rolls. In our case I would have to pull 20 - 30' off the roll to get it to spin freely.
