Has anyone tried running Oce brand extreme bond on a PageWide lately?
We have been running it for some time and we ordered a new order and the ink just rubs off. They sent some again same problem. We got a new box in again and just the black rubs off. You put in a roll that we have had for a while and it prints fine.

Re: tornado or extreme bond
Honestly, we have been getting the HP paper that is designed for the machines. Our cost per roll is only about $0.25 more than the OCE we were using when we had a KIP as our primary plotter. Now in all fairness we do by it from our dealer pretty much by the palette, but that is because we go through it so fast.
Our clients like the feel and look of the HP paper better and it does indeed dramatically decrease ink usage, in some cases as much as 60% less ink is used that on the OCE paper, so we end up spending a little more on the paper, but a lot less on ink, which means the HP paper is actually saving us money in the end. Of course your mileage will vary depending on what you plot, how much you can get the HP paper for, etc.
