KIP 7170 Multifunction

Our KIP 7170 is creating a vertical black line down the center of each copy and scan.
Does anyone have suggestions on what the issue might be and how to resolve it?

Have you cleaned the optics on the scanner yet. You may have to take the glass off to clean it really good. Lay it on a clean white piece of paper to help find dirty spots.
