High Capacity Stacker error 1000-0000-0004

Has anyone had an issue with the printer not recognizing the stacker? Customer damaged the interface board they pulled the stacker away from the printer ripping the serial connection off and damaged it. I replaced the cable and the interface board now the machine will not recognize the stacker. Also, thinking I may have a defective new interface I ordered another but still the printer does not recognize the stacker. I also, updated firmware still no luck. I did a uninstall and re-install no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
